PatrickHaney Dot Com V2 Beta

It was time for a change at PatrickHaney.com, and Patrick Haney came to the rescue.

So far this is the redesign of my personal website that has long been in need of a change. This is only 90% done, as I have icons, images, etc. to finish for this.

Things to change:
Image of my face should be higher quality
Icons for all subsections
Change ph logo to darker color at top/bottom?
Finish navbar in center of page

Any suggestions? I've got a bit of flexibility, so if anyone has any ideas on how to improve the design, I'm all ears.

Update: August 27th, 2004

It's been too long since I've updated this. I've made some changes to the original, including the header image with my face (those are all the gift cards I got this past Christmas). This will be a rotating header with an image of my choice. You'll also notice less clutter, as I've gone through and removed some things. After thinking about it a bit, I plan on making the front page a bit longer as well, so I can fit more information below "the fold."

You can see in the screenshot that I've added a view of the menu bar I'm working on, similar to a Windows XP "Start Menu." It will be written in Javascript and CSS and should allow quicker access to all my main pages. I'm also planning on including the highlighted article/page in the bar (you'll see it on the right side) for even more direct navigation.

Otherwise there are plenty of things to fix. The Testimonials part needs a new thumbnail and buttons, the Shout area is in hiatus, and the links in the top right in the header (photo gallery, etc.) need to be rethought.

Feedback? I'm willing to listen to anything you might have to say about it. More updates soon (and not a year from now, I promise).
