Teh Sickness
As some of you kiddies might say, "being sick is teh sux."
For close to 2 months now I've had sinus issues. Last week, I got strep throat. I'm finally starting to feel better, but I have to ask myself, "is this going to last?"
I know I said I was going to be around here more this year, but I've been really slowed down by this whole sickness thing. I'm working on it though, I promise. I'm excited about the prospect of finally getting back into pixel art after I found myself a small stepping stone in the form of the
contest to design a gallery icon as well as other projects I've got planned.
Books, Movies and More
Yesterday, while sitting at home doing nothing (like I have all week) with a terrible headache, I thought it might be good to finally watch the final Matrix movie: Revolutions. Well, as expected, I was disappointed (with the ending especially). It reminds me a lot of the Godfather series and how Part III was such a letdown.
As far as books go, I just recently finished the hilarious yet educational
Eats, Shoots & Leaves. You might think a book about punctuation would be boring and without worth, but you'd be wrong. It was one of the funniest things I've read in a long time.
Tomorrow I'm off to see
The Lion King, and I don't mean the movie (seen it). I'm talking about the
performance with a stage, costumes, you name it. Should be interesting.
What? The Comment Revolution? I think I've heard of that before...
Okay, so we haven't done anything in a while. But people are still interested, and I still feel like we need to do something, so this is an invitation to anyone who wants to help, including all those people that started working on things way back when, to contact me. I'd like to setup some sort of chat to figure out how to get back on track.
Who's up for a
Boston devMEET this summer?
If there were another Boston devMEET in the summer, what month should it happen?

rhysd is a name you might have seen before, especially if you know anything about pixel art. His work has been featured quite a few times and deservedly so. One of his latest pieces,
Trainstation: Night, is nothing less than exceptional and even a little bit original at the same time. Dark meets light, fear meets comfort, the edges blurring together. Fantastic.
Latest albums listened to:
Imogen Heap - Speak For Yourself
Goo Goo Dolls - Let Love In
Frou Frou - Details
Better link than never!
CSS Reboot, Spring 2006
Another successful reboot with a ton of great web design work.
My site was supposed to launch but strep throat got me and now I'm working on catching up.
Sausagehenge
You've heard of Stonehenge, but behold the almighty henge of sausages!
Dragon's Lair, Complete Game Walkthrough
Ever play Dragon's Lair in the arcade? You're probably too old to have had that opportunity, but this Youtube video shows us what you'd have to do to get through the entire game. I probably would've spent my college tuition figuring that out.
Pirate Baby's Cabana Battle Street Fight 2006
Pretty nifty animation featuring some great character sprites.
